Just a little bit of background on how we got to where we are today. Our family business and parent company, Mahar Manufacturing Inc., was started in 1988 by James and Pam Mahar. We got our start by making rest mats and cots for the school market. Over the years products have come and gone, but to this day we are still shipping out tables and chairs for K-12 schools daily. You might have across our "Creative Colors" lines over the last 36 years in business. Everything for these products are made here in house by us.
In 2008 a second product line was added, the "4egs4Pets" division; which sells dog beds for use in the home, doggy daycares, dog training facilities, and kennels. Cats also enjoy laying on them as well. Everything for this line is also made here in house by us.
Now we catch up to today. Michael Mahar, James and Pams oldest child, has grown up in the manufacturing business and is in the plant daily. He has been a hobby beekeeper since 2013. Back a few years ago he began brainstorming on ways to improve the beekeeping frame. After many sketches, CAD drawings, 3D printing samples, starting over again, etc.; he though he found a frame that had a good balance of adding many of the features that he liked about the way bees naturally build their comb vs eliminating some of the major issues that many beekeepers have been complaining about for years. The next step was to get the designs patented, tooling built, and the ball rolling. This is where we introduce the "Infinity Frame". We feel that with proper usage, it should last you an infinite amount of time.
We have never been the cheapest on the market, and we don't try to be. Cutting corners is not our core principal. We do our best to make products that we ourselves would want to put our name on and use ourselves. We strive to keep costs as low as possible by doing everything ourselves in house, from production, to the office, and shipping. We only bring in raw materials and produce and ship everything ourselves, in house, from our Van Buren, Arkansas facility. Many of our family members have worked here over the years in between going to school, in the summers, and beyond. We are a true family owned and operated business. There is a Mahar that has physically touched your product at one point or another before it makes it's way to you. If you need to call with a question, you will get an actual person who will answer the phone, not a machine. We hope you enjoy our "Infinity Frames" as much as we do, and we look forward to offering even more different beekeeping products in the near future.
